Aspect is a feature that specifies duration of the action in time, whether the action has been completed etc.

Examples
- Bíonn an seoladh poist céanna ag na vótóirí uilig “Each voter (usually) has the same postal address”
- Glas a bhíonn na caora ar dtús “The sheep are green at first”
- Bíonn contúirt bhreise ag baint leis an iomarca meáchain “There are (can be) additional risks linked to overweight”
Imp
: imperfect aspect
The action took / takes / will take some time span and there is no information whether and when it was / will be completed.

- Chuiridís oilithrigh amach go dtí Compostela “They used to send pilgrims out to Compostela”
- De ghnáth bhíodh an teach i Sráid Sheáin Mhic Dhiarmada go deas te “Usually, the house in Sean MacDermott St. used to be nice and warm”
